A true entrepreneur, Sanjeev amassed this experience, and a property development and investment portfolio worth over £70 million, whilst also undertaking ‘his day job’ – leading the family’s fashion empire.
Sanjeev sold the business to Hong Kong investors in order to focus his attention on property, establishing Maya in 2015 with his wife, Anita.
Born into an entrepreneurial family, Anita was exposed to many different trades and businesses but ‘found her feet’ in fashion. Her 25-year career has seen her develop a number of successful clothing manufacturing businesses supplying wellknown fashion brands, including Zara and Mango. She was also Senior Vice President at the family’s fashion import business, working alongside her husband Sanjeev.
Throughout Anita’s career, she has developed a strong belief in the importance of delivering the best possible customer experience – through high quality products, excellent customer service, attention to detail and sustainable and environmentally efficient practices and products. As cofounder and Director of Maya, Anita has implanted these ethics into the foundations of the company’s offering.
By being ‘hands on’ in the day-today operations of both businesses, his 30-year career has afforded him extensive experience across all aspects of property management, letting, leasing and maintenance. These skills are fully utilised in his role as Development Manager at Maya.
